Students/ Visitors just coming to visit the Center may either use the meters in front of the Administration Bldg. or  check in at the Visitor Information & Parking Office (a.k.a. Kiosk) at Mission Plaza (Broadway entrance) and pick up a free Temporary Day Pass. The parking office will be able to direct you where to park.

UIW Center for Veterans Affairs Mission

The mission of the Center for Veterans Affairs is to welcome and recognize all service members who are serving and who have served to protect the rights and freedoms of our country. The Center is here to assist the students attending UIW, in all programs, using educational benefits under Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Educational Assistance Programs in the pursuit of their educational goals.

The UIW Center for Veterans Affairs Office is open:

  • 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST, Monday
  • 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., CST, Tuesday - Thursday
  • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., CST, Friday

To best serve our growing student population, the Center will close for processing on Mondays from 8AM-1PM and will re-open 1PM-6PM.

Tribute Stole for Grads

UIW Veterans are honored during graduation with a Tribute stole. It is worn during the graduation ceremony and is provided free of charge. Contact us to receive your stole for commencement.
