UIW student veteran or active servicemembers are invited to share your personal success story and the best written essay will win 2 tickets, plus a parking pass for the Wednesday, October 10, 7:30p, pre-season Spurs game against the Atlanta Hawks, AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX courtesy of Mr Robert Rodriguez, Southwestern Capital Markets, Inc.,
All contestants are asked to participate in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) My Story - Duty* Degree* Dream
Since VA began paying Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits on August 1, 2009, we have helped students just like you achieve their educational goals. Through our My Story page, we are sharing the real life stories of Veterans and Servicemembers, and their personal experiences with the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Every My Story is different; yet they all share a common thread — creating a better future using the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
We invite you to read and watch the videos about these inspiring students at http://www.gibill.va.gov/my-story.
Each participant’s essay will be reviewed by a panel and the winner will be notified Tuesday, October 9th.
Good luck to all participants!
