The University of the Incarnate Word is proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to welcome our returning troops and their families back home and to our campus. In gratitude for your service to our nation, beginning in the Fall 2011 semester UIW will become a participant in the VA Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
Yellow Ribbon benefits are available for approved 100% Post 9-11 veterans and their transferees. Veterans can begin receiving their new Yellow Ribbon tuition benefits for Fall 2011 classes, so there is no need to wait to apply to UIW.
The Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Improvements Act of 2010 G.I. Bill simplifies the tuition and fee rates and creates a national maximum for those enrolled in private schools at a cap of $17,500 annually. Veterans looking to attend a private institution, such as the University of the Incarnate Word, may utilize the Yellow Ribbon Program to bridge any cost gaps above the cap.
No matter where you are on your education path, the University of the Incarnate Word offers students the comfort of small classes and a close network of family. With a 14:1 student-faculty ratio and an average class size of 25, students build relationships that extend beyond the classroom and provide a solid foundation of guidance and personal attention.
In addition, UIW’s Extended Academic Programs welcome adult students to meet their academic goals through our flexible and affordable programs. We combine quality academics and convenience to offer accelerated programs for today's busy lifestyle.
Ideal choice of campuses located near you, committed professors, amazing international opportunities, and state-of-the-art facilities, ensure the University of the Incarnate Word is a leader in developing students who are prepared to take on the world. At UIW, “The Universe Is Yours™.”
